Vision RT Becomes the First SGRT Vendor to Integrate With the Elekta ONE Online Adaptive Radiotherapy Workflow
Vision RT and Elekta have announced the first integration of surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) with Elekta’s online adaptive* workflow, allowing AlignRT to monitor patients throughout online adaptive sessions.
By adapting treatment to the patient’s anatomy at the time of delivery, online adaptive radiation therapy aims to maintain accurate targeting while helping clinicians manage the relationship between the treatment target and surrounding healthy tissue.
SGRT adds a complementary layer of information by continuously monitoring the patient’s external surface. It provides real-time information about patient position and motion, helping the clinical team assess whether the patient remains in the expected position throughout the workflow and treatment delivery.
