OBJECTIVES

The Las Vegas Prostate Center is focused on delivering high-quality prostate cancer treatments with maximum efficiency and patient comfort. They wanted an SGRT solution that would maintain their high daily patient throughput, provide patient satisfaction, and manage documentation in a high-volume environment. With 75–80 patients treated daily, they could not risk delays or missed reports. Their solution criteria were focused on three main objectives:

SOLUTION

The Las Vegas Prostate Center implemented AlignRT and OIS Reports Module to optimize their treatment safety and efficiency, and help eliminate manual reporting inefficiencies.

AlignRT streamlined clinical workflows by improving setup accuracy, reducing adjustment time, and cutting re-imaging rates by 50%. The technology also supported the center’s transition to a tattoo and mark-free treatment approach,enhancing both patient experience and operational efficiency.

LVPC implemented the OIS Reports Module to streamline documentation by automatically capturing AlignRT treatment data, integrating reports directly into the ARIA patient timeline, enabling physician review and approval within the OIS, and supporting accurate coding and compliance documentation. This transformed a time-consuming manual reporting process into a seamless, automated workflow that improved efficiency and documentation accuracy.

TRAINING & GO-LIVE SUCCESS

Pre-go-live training and patient pre-loading into AlignRT ensured staff readiness and a seamless implementation process.

Strong collaboration between radiation therapy leadership and Vision RT teams enabled rapid adoption with minimal disruption.

AlignRT was implemented with no clinical downtime while maintaining patient volume, treatment schedules, and overall clinical workflow efficiency.

RESULTS

REDUCED SETUP ERRORS

LVPC was able to reduce their treatment times 7-8 minutes consistently per patient and maintain their high patient volume of 75-80 without disruption to their scheduled block times.

TATTOO AND MARK-FREE

LVPC was able to do a full transition to tattoo and mark-free treatments in under 3 months.

DOCUMENTATION & OPERATIONAL GAINS

By automating report management, LVPC eliminated manual report handling and uploads, ensured no treatment reports were missed for billing or compliance, and delivered significant time savings for therapists and staff.

REIMBURSEMENT & COMPLIANCE PARTNERSHIP

Las Vegas Prostate Center partners with Radiation Business Solutions (RBS) to support reimbursement strategy, coding,and compliance initiatives. Together with AlignRT and the OIS Reports Module, the center has established a streamlined documentation workflow designed to support accurate billing, audit preparedness, and future Active Motion Management reimbursement opportunities.

FUTURE PLANS AND EQUIPMENT UPGRADES

Las Vegas Prostate Center continues to invest in technologiesthat support its high-volume, patient-focused treatmentmodel. The center plans to upgrade from a Varian IX to a Halcyon system and implement AlignRT InBore to further enhance treatment accuracy, workflow efficiency, and real-time patient monitoring throughout treatment.
