Enhancing patient safety and precision for treatments on Halcyon®, Ethos™ and (coming soon) Radixact® linear accelerators
Set up outside. Track inside.
Shadowing inside the bore during radiotherapy treatments can make accurate patient setup and monitoring challenging, potentially impacting treatment precision.
AlignRT InBore combines the benefits of ceiling-mounted AlignRT cameras for patient setup with an innovative, miniaturized SGRT ring camera system mounted within the bore to eliminate shadowing during treatment. This approach provides a comprehensive end-to-end SGRT solution for patients undergoing treatment on bore-based treatment platforms without the physical design of the bore-based system compromising the SGRT benefits.
Published clinical data shows:
Faster total treatment time¹
Accurate and reproducible DIBH²
High detection accuracy for setup and monitoring³
Published data from UCSD demonstrates that using AlignRT for setup can reduce treatment times, reduce repeat imaging and improve patient position accuracy by reducing residual rotational errors.¹

Mean total treatment time reduced by 5% after AlignRT implementation¹

50% reduction in the number of fractions requiring setup correction and additional imaging fields¹

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, through Varian’s Verification and Validation Process, AlignRT InBore is compatible with Halcyon versions 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, and 4.0 and Ethos versions 1.0 and 2.0.
Varian is currently developing an interface to connect motion management technology with Halcyon and Ethos Radiotherapy Systems. This architecture, similar to MMI on TrueBeam, is expected to be released soon. Once the interface specification is available, Vision RT will have access through Varian’s Interoperability program.
AlignRT InBore for Radixact is currently in development, with commercial availability expected in late 2025, depending on the territory and when the associated regulatory clearance is obtained. Vision RT is working with Accuracy to ensure the compatibility and connectivity of AlignRT InBore for Radixact.
