Vision RT will be showcasing SafeRT-ID, their latest product release at this year’s ESTRO 38 in Milan.
26 April 2019. Vision RT will be showcasing SafeRT-ID, their latest product release at this year’s ESTRO 38 in Milan.
Following the announcement of Vision RT’s acquisition of Aurora Computer Services Limited, ESTRO 38 provides an immediate opportunity to demonstrate the technological leadership of the expanded Vision RT group.
Vision RT will be showcasing SafeRT-ID; their non-contact patient verification system which uses Aurora’s unique facial recognition technology.
Improving the accuracy of patient identification and reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections are two of the key patient safety goals for many modern healthcare systems.
SafeRT-ID is a touchless solution for verifying that the right patient is selected for treatment, delivered in a discreet, easy to access system.
SafeRT-ID easily integrates into current workflows, reducing the time needed to go through ID at each appointment. The camera simply scans the patient’s face to verify that the right patient is selected for treatment.
Vision RT CEO, Norman Smith said “We are extremely pleased to bring SafeRT-ID to market as the first result of our collaboration with the Aurora team. This enables us to continue our record of innovation in the Radiotherapy Oncology space and address our customers’ needs for patient safety whilst improving the patient experience.”
SafeRT-ID is not currently for commercial distribution and will be launching in late spring.
