Ringwood Hospital selects AlignRT for Advanced Radiation Therapy
Vision RT is pleased to announce that Ringwood Hospital, joins the growing network of GenesisCare facilities in Victoria equipped with AlignRT, marking the 10th system installation in Australia.
GenesisCare in Australia has a longstanding history of using AlignRT’s SGRT technology for precise patient positioning and motion management. Treating more than 1000 patients per year across a variety of indications, Ringwood has integrated AlignRT with their TrueBeam linear accelerator. The purchase of AlignRT manifests the established and fruitful partnership between Vision RT and GenesisCare.

Following a thorough evaluation process, Ringwood opted to adopt AlignRT as the exclusive SGRT system for their hospital. Central to their decision were factors such as seamless clinical integration, workflow facilitation, and enhanced precision and efficiency. AlignRT is a contactless and non-invasive technology that tracks a patient’s position before and during radiation therapy with sub-millimetric accuracy. This ensures radiation is delivered exactly as planned. The hospital has begun using AlignRT to treat a variety of conditions, including breast, lung, pelvic tumors, prostate, and more, using techniques like Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
